Al's '36 Dodge
Al's Dodge was actually a nice car when I picked it up from him. A few years ago he did away with the solid black paint and went two-tone. Shortly after bringing it home, his wife expressed her distaste for the new look so the car sat in the garage. The paint job itself was not the best quality and was in need of some fixing. The car had seen some use and had the usual dings and chips. Al was looking for a more traditional look, so off came the black and silver. We also lost the billet mirrors and bolted on some nice chrome MG pieces. I straightened out the body and then on went the solid black paint. I used a single stage to add to the depth and to mimic the wet lacquer look. Then I polished the snot out of it and dropped it off at the interior shop for a new gut. Al's wife approved, expect to see this car at a show near you.
