Bare Body

Posted by Bill on October, 29 2009 | 0 Comments

Tindall had his body blasted before he dropped it off, which is the biggest blessing any painter can have. However it had a bit of surface rust on it from the rain on Sat. A quick few minutes with the stripping wheel gave me a chance to start fresh and to really see what was going on with the body. The real work begins this weekend when we break out the hammers and dollies. Talk soon.

Another Satisfied Customer

Matt and his Dad came by today to pick up the frame and suspension pieces and to drop off the body. I finshed all the buffing this week so all that was left to do was to load it up. They were both very pleased with the frame and are excited about the body, as am I. Now starts the real fun. More pics and some progress next week. Talk soon.

Back to Work!

After taking last weekend off for the Carlisle swap and a benefit show put on by the American Cruisers, I came back and hit it hard this week. Starting with Tindall's frame, I got it all prepped and decided to spray it in two shots. This way I good get good coverage into all the nooks and crannies from underneath, and then flip it and back tape it to get the top and sides nice and glossy!

I also snuck some time in on Joe's Ford. I got one of the fins all welded up and ground so he could see what it is going to look like. The more I look at it, the more I think we hit the proportions right on the head! Hopefully we'll both be able to keep picking away at it over the next few months and have it ready for Detroit 2010.
